Gus was a green frog who lived in a big log. Every morning, Gus would jog to the bog to sing his frog songs.

"Gus!" called his friend Meg the pig. "Got a good song today?"

Gus grinned. "I'm going to sing at the Bug Ball tonight! It's a big gig!"

Meg wagged her curly tail. "That's great! Can I tag along?"

Gus nodded. "Bring a flag so I can see you in the crowd."

Gus hopped to get ready. He put on a gold bow tie and hung a jug of bug juice on his bag.

"I need to look good for my gig," said Gus, looking in a puddle.

But then Gus saw something wrong! He was turning from green to gray!

"Oh no!" gasped Gus. "My skin is changing! I can't sing looking like a gray rag!"

Meg tried to help. She gave Gus a wig made of grass.

"This might help," she suggested.

Gus put on the wig, but it was too big. It fell over his eyes!

"I can't see!" cried Gus as he hopped around. He tripped over a twig and fell with a thug!

Just then, it started to rain. Big drops plopped on Gus and his wig.

"The rain will ruin my gig!" Gus groaned.

But something magic happened! The rain washed Gus clean, and his skin turned bright green again!

"Look!" shouted Meg. "You're green again!"

Gus jumped for joy! "Let's go to my gig!"

That night, Gus sang the best frog songs ever. His voice rang out strong and clear.

"Best singing frog in the bog!" everyone agreed.
